Higonokami Aoniko (Blue Steel #2) Brass Folding Pocket Knife
The Aoniko Higonokami folding pocket knife is one of the oldest traditional blade styles in production today. The forging method is very similar to the Japanese sword as the blade can carry a razor sharp edge. It is said that around 1894, the company devised a structure that allowed the blade and handle to be folded up and attached a "chikiri" (tail) to make it more portable. Currently, Nagao Kanekoma Seisakusho is the only company permitted to use the "Higonokami" trademark.
This blade needs to be cared for more than stainless steel as it will rust easier, water should be removed immediately. Please do not cut bone or frozen food. It may cause it to chip.
